To all our patients and families,
During this stressful time, we hope you are safe and well. As the shelter-In-place policy continues to evolve, we want to update you on office availability, and policies that will continue to ensure your safety in our office.
We are scheduling Well Visits (Check Ups)! We especially want to see those children who are due for vaccinations, but we are opening the schedule to all check-ups. Please call to schedule. Presently, our receptionists are taking calls until noon. We expect that qwithin a few weeks, our telephone availability will return to regular hours.
For the next few weeks, children who need SICK visits will be triaged as to whether they should come to the office or have a telemedicine visit. Most non-respiratory problems can be seen safely in our office. COVID-19 exposed families or patients with suspected COVID-19 will be assessed via telemedicine.
As always, we are available 24/7 if you have a concern about your child. If the office recording says we are closed, just CALL THE ANSWERING SERVICE AT 248-544-6948. We can address many of your concerns via a phone call or telehealth visit.
What we are doing to keep you safe:
Our sick and well waiting rooms are sanitized throughout the day.
Our exam rooms are sanitized after every use.
Our staff is screened daily for pertinent symptoms.
Our staff is wearing the recommended personal protection equipment (PPE).
Every effort will be made to minimize time spent in waiting rooms. When exam rooms are vacant, we will take you and your child directly to an exam room.
Morning walk-in visits remain suspended so we can minimize your exposure.
What you can do to contribute to everyone’s safety in our office:
Adults and children over age 2 are expected to wear a mask.
Please bring only the child being seen to the office.
Please respect social distancing.
COVID-19 exposed families and patients with suspected COVID-19 symptoms or respiratory symptoms should reschedule any in-office visits. Please call the staff about appropriate course of action.
We ask for your patience as our office flow will be a little slower for a while until we all adjust to the “new normal”.
We look forward to seeing you and your children in our office again soon!
